Terms of Service
Last updated: August 27, 2026
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
BetterForYourPocket is a platform operated by H&S Technologies Inc. from the Province of Québec, Canada, registered as H&S Technologies Inc. (Québec enterprise number 1182417445), 7615 rue des Métis, appartement 1013, Québec (Québec) G2K 2J6, Canada. BetterForYourPocket has its own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Community Rules: these documents govern this platform only. Any other platform or service operated by the same company is a separate service with its own terms and its own personal-information holdings, and using one does not create an account, an entitlement or a data relationship on the other. These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Community Rules, form the entire agreement between you and us about your use of BetterForYourPocket (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform. We may update them; the "last updated" date reflects the current version, we will take reasonable steps to tell you about a material change before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Platform after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel and stop using the Platform.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be of the age of majority where you live (18 in most of Canada) to create an account, and your use of the Platform must be lawful where you are. One account per person; accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold, rented or transferred. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password and your email account secure. We store passwords only as a hash, never in readable form. Tell us immediately at betterforyourpocket@gmail.com if you believe someone else has access to your account. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it accurate — registering with someone else's identity or a false identity is a breach of these terms.
3. What the Platform is — and is not
BetterForYourPocket is a financial-intelligence and research platform. It aggregates public market data, public blockchain data and public regulatory filings, computes descriptive analytics from them, generates AI-assisted educational analysis, and hosts a members' community. It does NOT provide financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice; does NOT make buy, sell or hold recommendations; does NOT predict prices or returns; and does NOT guarantee profits, accuracy or availability. BetterForYourPocket is not a broker, dealer, exchange, investment adviser, portfolio manager, money-services business, bank or fiduciary. It is not registered with, licensed by, authorized by or supervised by the Autorité des marchés financiers, any Canadian securities commission, or any other financial regulator, and it is not a member of any investor-protection or deposit-insurance scheme.
4. No custody, no execution, no pooled funds
BetterForYourPocket never takes custody of your money, securities or digital assets. It holds no wallet keys, opens no brokerage or exchange account for you, pools no client funds, executes no trades or transfers, and offers no copy-trading, mirror-trading or managed-account feature. Wallet addresses tracked on the Platform are public blockchain addresses you choose to watch; watching one gives the Platform no access to it and no ability to move anything in it.
5. No personalized advice
Nothing on the Platform is personalized advice. The Platform does not know your financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance, tax position or holdings beyond what you type into it, does not assess suitability, and produces the same analysis of the same data for every member. Any figure, score, ranking, alert or AI answer is general information about public data, not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or avoid anything. Using the Platform does not create an adviser–client, fiduciary, agency, partnership or employment relationship between you and us.
6. Your responsibility for your own decisions
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and for verifying anything you rely on. Digital assets and securities are volatile and you can lose some or all of the money you commit; past activity — on-chain, on-exchange or in a filing — does not indicate future results. Before acting on anything you read here, do your own research and, where it matters, consult a licensed professional who knows your situation. You agree not to hold us liable for a decision you made using information from the Platform.
7. Data limitations
Market, blockchain, filing and macroeconomic data is aggregated from third-party providers and public sources. It may be delayed, incomplete, mislabelled, revised, unavailable or wrong, and coverage differs by asset, chain and provider. Scores, rankings, risk indicators and conviction figures are our own descriptive computations over that data, not measurements of value or of future performance, and their method can change. Wallet labels and entity attributions are inferences from public data and may be mistaken. The Platform, including all data, scores and analysis, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
8. AI-generated content
Parts of the Platform generate text with large language models. AI output is an automated interpretation of the data supplied to it: it can be incomplete, out of date, or confidently wrong, and it can misread the data it cites. It is educational information only and never a recommendation. Automated checks reject AI output that reads as advice, as a guarantee or as claimed personal investment experience, but no filter catches everything and the checks are not a warranty of correctness. Verify anything before you act on it. When you use AI Research, the question you type, the assets it resolves to, and the market and on-chain data assembled to answer it are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and, as a failover, OpenAI) for processing on servers outside Québec. Your email address, password, session and billing identifiers are not sent with it. Do not type anything into AI Research you would not want processed by an external provider — in particular account numbers, credentials, government identifiers or another person's personal information.
9. Subscriptions, prices and automatic renewal
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold in monthly or yearly terms, are billed in advance through our payment processor Stripe, and RENEW AUTOMATICALLY at the then-current price for the same term until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay; applicable taxes are added where required. There is no free trial: a paid plan starts and is charged when you complete checkout. We may change prices or plan contents, but only prospectively and with notice before the renewal that a change would first apply to — a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Plan limits described as "unlimited" do not exist on this Platform; every plan carries fair-use caps, which we may enforce by throttling.
10. Cancellation, refunds and failed payments
You can cancel at any time from your account, through the Stripe customer portal reached from the Account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your paid access until then. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a payment that bought nothing, credits that never arrived, a charge after cancellation, an unauthorised charge, or a substantial failure on our side — we refund it, with no window and no conditions. For a request where nothing went wrong, a payment made on or after September 15, 2026 is refunded in full if you used 25% or less of what it delivered and ask within 14 days; above 60% used there is no discretionary refund, and in between we may refund the unused part. A payment made BEFORE September 15, 2026 keeps the promise it was made under — refundable in full within 14 days whatever you used. Partial periods are not pro-rated. None of this removes a right consumer-protection law gives you where you live; those rights are not waived by these terms and prevail over anything narrower written here. If a payment fails, your plan is marked past due and access is kept while the processor retries; when the retries are exhausted the subscription ends and the account returns to the free plan. The full procedure, including what happens to credits and one-time purchases, is in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. One-time purchases: credits, Support and Founding Supporter
This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Credits are added to your balance when the payment settles, are usable only on BetterForYourPocket, and are not exchangeable for cash. Purchased AI credits do not expire while your account exists, are consumed by the AI features at the rates shown before each run, are not transferable between accounts, and have no cash value; the free monthly allowance is separate and resets each month. Support and Founding Supporter purchases are one-time commercial purchases of the product benefits described on the page. They are not donations, not investments, not securities, and not a loan. They convey no ownership, no share of revenue or profit, no interest, no voting right and no expectation of any financial return. Founding Supporter seats are limited in number and the benefits attached to them are the ones described on that page at the time of purchase.
12. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute can. Opening a chargeback instead of requesting a refund does not by itself end your obligations under these terms. While a dispute is open on your account, we may suspend paid access and pause new purchases, and we may provide the payment processor and the card network with the records needed to answer the dispute. A pattern of disputes raised in bad faith, or a dispute on a service that was delivered and used, may result in termination of the account and refusal of future purchases.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to: probe, scan or test the security of the Platform, or bypass or attempt to bypass any authentication, authorization, rate limit, quota, paywall or plan restriction; access another member's account, data, private messages or content; scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data beyond ordinary personal use, or use automated tools, headless browsers, bots or scripts against the Platform except a well-behaved search-engine crawler obeying our robots file; resell, republish, sublicense or redistribute Platform data, scores or AI output as a product or feed; reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Platform's software or design; create accounts by automated means, or create additional accounts to evade a limit, a suspension or a price; interfere with the Platform's operation or impose an unreasonable load on it; upload malware or anything designed to damage a system; use the Platform for market manipulation, for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, dox or threaten anyone, including the owners of wallet addresses shown on the Platform. Public blockchain data on this Platform is information about addresses, not an invitation to target the people who may be behind them.
14. Community: your content and your conduct
The community features (posts, comments, theses, votes, reactions, profiles, direct messages, uploaded images) are governed by the Community Rules, which form part of these terms. In short: what you post publicly is public and attributed to your handle; you keep ownership of what you write and grant us only the non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence needed to store, display, moderate, back up and distribute it within the Platform for as long as you keep it posted; you are responsible for what you post and you confirm you have the right to post it. BetterForYourPocket may itself publish automated, rule-based posts in the community from its own labelled account — including an occasional question about activity observed on our own platform. Those posts are produced by a fixed rule from our own records; they are not member opinions, not personalized advice, not recommendations and not forecasts, and the same reporting and moderation rules apply to them. Investment opinions published by members are theirs alone. BetterForYourPocket does not endorse them, does not verify them, does not adopt them, and does not recommend acting on them. A member is not an adviser to you, and no relationship of advice, agency or trust is created by reading, following, voting on or messaging one.
15. Prohibited community conduct and fraud
The following are prohibited on every community surface, including direct messages: scams and fraudulent schemes of any kind; investment claims you know or ought to know are false, fabricated performance or holdings, and pump-and-dump or coordinated promotion; presenting yourself as a licensed adviser, as a representative of BetterForYourPocket, or as another person or organisation, and impersonating them through your handle, display name, avatar or bio; soliciting money, transfers, deposits, "managed accounts", "signal groups", or payment of any kind from other members; asking for or attempting to obtain passwords, seed phrases, private keys, recovery codes, one-time codes, card details or government identifiers; phishing, malicious links and links intended to deceive; referral, affiliate and promotional links, and unsolicited commercial messaging; spam, mass or repetitive posting, and automated posting; manipulating votes, reactions, reports, counts or rankings, including through additional or coordinated accounts; publishing another person's private information; harassment, threats, hate speech and sexual content; and anything unlawful. We may remove content and restrict, suspend or terminate a member's community access or account for any of it.
16. Moderation, investigation and enforcement
We may, in a manner proportionate to the problem and to the extent the law allows: review content that is reported or that our systems flag; remove or restrict content that breaches these terms or the Community Rules; limit, suspend or withdraw a member's ability to post, comment, vote, report, message or upload; disable an account, refuse a purchase, or terminate access; investigate suspected fraud, abuse of the Platform, security incidents and breaches of these terms, including by examining the account, technical and payment records we already hold; preserve information where we have a legal obligation to do so or a reasonable need to do so for an ongoing investigation, dispute or legal claim; and cooperate with a valid legal request or an order from a court, a regulator or a law-enforcement authority with jurisdiction. Reported content is queued for a person to review; the number of reports on an item never removes it by itself. Where we can do so lawfully and without frustrating an investigation, we will tell you what happened to your account and you may contest a decision by writing to betterforyourpocket@gmail.com, which we will answer.
17. Suspension and termination by you or by us
You may stop using the Platform at any time, cancel your subscription from your account, and delete your account from the Account page — deletion is permanent, removes your content and your community profile, and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where the law requires it, where a payment is unresolved, or where an account presents a security, fraud or abuse risk; other than in urgent or unlawful-conduct cases, we will give reasonable notice. If we terminate a paid account other than for a breach by you, we refund the unused part of the current paid period. Termination ends your right to use the Platform; the sections that by their nature survive — data limitations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, governing law — continue to apply.
18. Intellectual property
The Platform — its software, interfaces, design, text, methodology, derived scores and compiled presentations of data — belongs to H&S Technologies Inc. and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for your own research while your account is in good standing. Nothing else is granted. Underlying public market, blockchain and regulatory data is not ours and remains subject to the rights of its sources. Content you create in your account — watchlists, tracked wallets, alert rules, notes, research threads, community posts — stays yours, subject to the licence described in section 14. If you send us feedback or a feature suggestion, we may use it without obligation or payment to you.
19. Third-party services and links
The Platform depends on third parties for hosting, database, caching, payments, email, push and messaging delivery, AI processing, market data, blockchain indexing and regulatory filings; the current list is published in the Privacy Policy. Features you connect yourself, such as Telegram alerts, are also subject to that provider's terms. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, accuracy or security of third-party services.
20. Availability and changes to the Platform
We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change, be limited or be withdrawn, providers may fail, and maintenance and incidents happen. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan delivers, you may cancel and, if you cancel for that reason before the end of a period you have paid for, ask us for a pro-rated refund of the remainder. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control.
21. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterForYourPocket, H&S Technologies Inc. and their directors, officers, employees and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost trading or investment opportunity, lost or devalued digital assets, lost data or lost goodwill, arising out of or related to the Platform, whether or not we were advised such damages were possible. To the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty Canadian dollars. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud or for bodily injury, and nothing limits the rights that consumer-protection legislation gives you where you live — in Québec, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
22. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless BetterForYourPocket and H&S Technologies Inc. against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from content you post, from your breach of these terms or the Community Rules, from your misuse of the Platform, or from your violation of the law or of another person's rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by our own fault.
23. Governing law, disputes and language
The Platform is operated from the Province of Québec, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting a proceeding, please write to betterforyourpocket@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter. The courts of the Province of Québec, judicial district of Montréal, have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the place where you live and to rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you. If a provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business, which does not reduce your rights. The English version of these terms is the binding version; translations are provided for convenience only, and a French version is available on request.
24. Security reports and contact
If you find a security or privacy vulnerability, report it to betterforyourpocket@gmail.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it. Do not access, alter or exfiltrate data that is not yours, do not run denial-of-service or load tests, and do not use an account other than your own; testing that stays within those limits and is reported to us in good faith will not be treated as a breach of section 13. All other questions about these terms go to the same address.
