Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using BetterForYourPocket ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in most of Canada) to create an account. The Platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow minors to register. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform is lawful where you live.
3. Nature of the service — no financial advice
BetterForYourPocket is a financial intelligence and research platform. It provides market data, blockchain analytics, and AI-generated educational analysis. The Platform does NOT provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice; does NOT make buy, sell, or hold recommendations; does NOT predict prices or returns; and does NOT guarantee profits. Nothing on the Platform should be interpreted as a recommendation to enter into any transaction. We are not a broker, dealer, investment advisor, or fiduciary.
4. Your account & security
You are responsible for the credentials you use to access the Platform and for all activity under your account. Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We store passwords only in hashed form and never in plain text, but you remain responsible for the security of your own devices and email account.
5. Data accuracy limitations
Market and blockchain data is aggregated from third-party providers and public blockchains. Data may be delayed, incomplete, mislabeled, or inaccurate. AI-generated analyses are automated interpretations and may contain errors. The Platform, including all data and analysis, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Your responsibility for decisions
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Digital assets and securities are volatile and you can lose some or all of your capital. Before making any financial decision, do your own research and consult a licensed financial professional. You agree not to hold BetterForYourPocket liable for losses arising from decisions made using information from the Platform.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform: no scraping at abusive volumes, no attempts to breach or probe security, no reselling or redistribution of data without written authorization, no reverse engineering, and no use for unlawful activity, market manipulation, or harassment of wallet owners. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access that violates this section.
8. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
Some features require a paid subscription. Paid tiers are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee: if you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. After that window, payments already made are non-refundable and we do not pro-rate partial periods, except where consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a further right. Prices and plan limits may change on a prospective basis, with notice before your next renewal.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform — its software, design, text, derived scores, and compiled data presentations — is owned by BetterForYourPocket and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for your own research. Underlying public market and on-chain data is not owned by us. Content you create in your account (watchlists, tracked wallets, alert rules) remains yours; you grant us the limited licence needed to store and display it back to you as part of the service.
10. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party providers for hosting, payments, email, AI processing, market data, and blockchain data. Your use of features that depend on them may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party services, and their inclusion is not an endorsement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterForYourPocket and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or digital assets, arising from or related to your use of the Platform. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Platform in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BetterForYourPocket and its operators from any claim or demand arising out of your misuse of the Platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, that we are required to act on by law, or that poses a security or abuse risk. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.
14. Governing law & disputes
The Platform is operated from the Province of Québec, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in the Province of Québec have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold in your own jurisdiction.
