Before you pay — the honest answers
Do I need a card to start?
No. A free account includes 6 AI credits a month plus the research surfaces — the whale feed, the leaderboard and whole-market token data — on real on-chain data, not a sandbox.
What is a credit, exactly?
Credits pay for AI work, and the price depends on how much work an answer needs: the cheapest costs 2, a deeper multi-source investigation costs more. Everything that is not AI — browsing, scores, charts, filings, alerts — costs nothing. Founding Pro includes 300 credits a month.
Am I charged when the AI refuses to answer?
No. When coverage is too thin or a source is stale the request is declined, you are told which check failed, and the reserved credits are returned to your balance. A failed generation is never billed.
Is any plan unlimited?
No, and you will not find the word on this page. Every plan has published caps; paid tiers raise them. We would rather name a limit than discover it with you.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes — from your account page, through the billing portal, without emailing anyone. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
What happens when I hit a cap?
The surface tells you which limit you reached and why it exists, instead of silently returning less data. Nothing disappears without an explanation.
