Risk-on regime, or the first divergence?
BetterForYourPocket currently shows 5 of 6 measured market signals in risk-on territory:
• BTC: +23.2% over 30 days • DeFi TVL: +19.0% over 30 days • VIX: 14.3 • Broad US dollar index: −1.7% over 30 days
However, DeFi TVL has declined 0.6% over the last 7 days.
My current thesis: this looks more like short-term consolidation inside a broader risk-on regime than confirmation of another leg higher. I would reconsider that view if DeFi TVL keeps contracting, VIX moves above 17, and BTC loses its positive 30-day trend.
Which signal would change your view first: BTC momentum, stablecoin deployment, DEX volume, or volatility?
